Nach Malang – Dance. Delight. Dissolve.
May 22 - May 25
This group is facilitated by Ma Prabhu Damini.
Malang is a Punjabi word often used for sant fakirs. Mystics who have realised the Oneness of it all. It means consciously, divinely, wisely crazy. A mystic story speaks of us, so-called sane people, actually being on the verge of insanity. Driven by craze for competition, for bigger cars, bigger homes, better men, better women. Living in this world, a life of just a few days, but wasting it all in Desires. Or in anger or sadness or bitterness that comes when those desires remain unfulfilled. And, if we listen to the wise crazy saints, they tell us, that no desire is ever fulfilled. Its nature is such.
In the four day group we will be exploring the actual craziness of what we call life. And diving into the sanity of life that these crazy mystics offer to us. The path is of love. And its method is dance. That of the body. That of the senses. That of the emotions. That of the breath. That of the mind. Through spontaneous, creative, mast-malang dancing, we will realise the wise Malangin ourselves.
The meditation intensive requires no prior dancing experience. But it does require an open childlike approach and an inner discipline to come for each session for the four days. There will be sutras of Nanak and Meera offered to help us understand the richness of the vision of Malangs.
There will also be offered meditation sutras of these saints that we can use after the group is complete, back in our lives. At home, in the bazaar. Come to delight, come to play, come to dance. And most importantly, come to Dissolve. Your pain, your sorrows, your loneliness, your so-called sanity. Nach Malang! ❤ Damini ke Sang!
The camp will start in the evening of 21st May and conclude in the afternoon of 25th May. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
